Clarence Licensed Anglers Club Inc
Welcome to one of Tassie’s most active and exciting fishing clubs. The Clarence Anglers Club was formed in 1964 and has been contributing to the improvement of angling in Tasmania ever since that time. The club has regular meetings to discuss and share knowledge about “all things fishy”.
Our family orientated club caters for all angling methods. Regular field trips to rivers and lakes are a feature of the club calendar. The Club, with the kind assistance of the land owner and generous stockings from the IFS, supports our home water Pawleena Dam.
In 2006 Clarence Anglers purchased a fully serviced block of land at Flintstone, Arthurs Lake and plans to erect a lodge for members and guests when finances become available.
The Club also produces a monthly newsletter which is distributed via email or post. Regular fly tying evenings are popular and well attended with the novice or experienced equally welcome.
The CLAC is affiliated with the Southern Tasmanian Licenced Anglers Association and has a direct representation to this organisation thereby enabling CLAC members and the Club to have their input and a say in local and statewide fishing matters such as regulations, fishing access, management plans etc...
